I commissioned a piece from Kate as I had a pet cross the rainbow bridge and not only did she do an amazing job with the realism but brought life to this portrait, it was a beautiful way to immortalize her and find a way to have her be around forever. I had family friends admire her work and ask for her contact information and she went on to do the same for them and their pet who also crossed.
Kate definitely has a gift. When commissioned to do a portrait , especially a pet that has passed away...I believe Kate actually feels love and empathy for that pet. She channels that into making remarkable art. How she captures the spirit in the eyes is astounding. Her use of light and shadows makes for hauntingly beautiful creations.
