Mission & Values & Kate’s Brand Story
This year, my world shifted with the loss of my father, the dreamer who nurtured my creative spirit. To heal and express the deep wounds his departure left, I turned to art during this difficult time. My best friend and bulldog, Scarlett, was fighting for her life after an emergency surgery. Drawing her helped me process the complex emotions as I anxiously awaited her recovery. I was able to capture the essence of my beloved pet in a portrait.
Kate definitely has a gift. When commissioned to do a portrait , especially a pet that has passed away…I believe Kate actually feels love and empathy for that pet. She channels that into making remarkable art. How she captures the spirit in the eyes is astounding. Her use of light and shadows makes for hauntingly beautiful creations.
